ようやく秋になってきた


Somehow it’s already autumn

9月も下旬になり,ようやく第4章が完成しました.今年の日本の夏は厳しい暑さが続きましたが,第4章の完成に合わせたように,そろそろ秋になってきたようです.私のHP(ブログ)のメインテーマである超音速噴流の乱れ解析の記述が終了して,ここ3年ほど休みなしで動いていたPCも久しぶりに電源を落としました.ただし,その半分の約1年半は,最大40億個の分子を使った三次元解析(128thread, 256GB使用)が中心だったのですが,なかなか興味ある結果が出せず,これまでのHPの記述には活かせていません.今後の予定は,本来なら一番最初に記述すべきだった「DSMC法の概要」を作成していくつもりですが,秋は,DSMC法より魅力的なことが目白押しなので,これに集中できるかどうか疑わしいところです.

It’s late September, and I’ve finally completed Chapter 4. This year’s summer in Japan has been extremely hot, but it seems that autumn is just around the corner, coinciding with the completion of Chapter 4. I’ve finished writing about the turbulence analysis of supersonic jets, which is the main theme of my website (blog), and I’ve finally turned off my PC, which has been running without a break for the past three years. However, for half of that time (about a year and a half), I focused on three-dimensional analysis (using 128 threads and 256GB) using up to 4 billion molecules, but I was unable to get any interesting results, and I have not been able to use them in my writing on the website so far. As for my future plans, I intend to write an “Overview of the DSMC Method,” which should have been written first, but this fall there are so many things more fascinating than the DSMC method that I am not sure whether I will be able to concentrate on it.
