Stayed in Kushiro for 10 days

I am relieved that I was able to release the software for my long-awaited “DSMC simulation of flow velocity distribution in a circular tube” in celebration of my birthday. Actually, I was staying in Kushiro City, Hokkaido for 10 days starting from May 7th, and for two of those days I locked myself in a hotel and created some of the above. The Kushiro Prince Hotel where I stayed is a first-class hotel in Japan, where even the Emperor stayed last year. Well, on other days, I went sightseeing on a day tour bus, took a 3.5 hour bus trip to Rausu on the Shiretoko Peninsula, and took a killer whale watching sightseeing boat. Kushiro is a cold region in Hokkaido, and even in May it is shrouded in deep fog in the mornings and evenings, making it necessary to wear warm clothes. However, on the day I took the train to Kushiro Shitsugen Station, the weather was sunny and sweaty. Kushiro Marsh is the largest wetland in Japan and has a spectacular view. When I returned from my trip, I found a swallow building a nest and incubating its eggs under the eaves of my front door. It looks like the chicks have hatched now. The parent bird will have a hard time carrying food from now on.
