The improved DSMC calculation program for turbulent velocity distribution in a circular tube has finally been completed.

I have finally completed a new write-up—covering improved DSMC calculations for turbulent velocity profiles in a circular tube—marking my first new work since May of last year. My health had deteriorated starting in the spring, and I even lost vision in half of my left eye; I truly braced myself, thinking my time had finally come, but I managed to pull through. I had published an initial report on these DSMC calculations two years ago, but the work was incomplete; I couldn’t easily come up with a way to improve it, and the issue had been weighing on my mind ever since. As my health recovered, various ideas began to surface, and by autumn, I was delighted to produce something far better than what I had originally envisioned. In August, I visited the tip of Cape Kamui on the Shakotan Peninsula in Hokkaido. I had hoped to purify my body and soul by braving the strong winds there, but I was blessed with calm, pleasant weather instead—leaving me feeling somewhat disappointed? It seems I shall have to make the trip again during the season of strong winter winds.
